The Grade B Listed gate house has been remodelled to contain support facilities including a kitchen and staffroom. A new glazed link leads to an extension containing the nursery playroom. Freeplay is encouraged by providing direct access to a new enclosed garden, and covered play area. The new extension is a simple modern element which complements the complexity of the gatehouse. The glazed link provides an architectural transition zone and also forms the main entrance and cloakroom.
